Lady Dior x Betty Mariani — Lady Art #2 Limited Edition, 2017
Once a year, Dior hands its most famous silhouette to a handful of artists and lets them loose. This is what happened when Betty Mariani got hers.
From the 2017 Lady Art #2 series, this medium Lady Dior is a genuine collector's piece: Mariani's graffiti-washed portrait in inky blues and violets, hand-embellished with beadwork, embroidered roses, and sculpted appliqué that shifts in the light. The reverse is pure Pollock energy — splattered whites, reds, and golds over midnight blue — flanked by black cannage lambskin sides and finished with ruthenium D-I-O-R charms. Full kit: removable shoulder strap, Dior dust bag, and cards, with the charms still in their original plastic. Appears unworn aside from one tiny surface scuff on the base, photographed for full transparency.
Lady Art pieces were produced in very limited numbers and almost never surface in this condition. When it's gone, it's gone — probably to a museum-grade closet.
