Before Phoebe, before the Luggage tote, Celine’s signature was this: the Macadam. The interlocking chain print inspired by the Arc de Triomphe, stamped into coated canvas and trimmed in tan leather. This dome bag is the 90s-era classic — a soft half-moon shape with a top zip, double leather handles, and the Triomphe crest patch front and center.
It’s the kind of bag that goes with a trench coat and nothing else. Made in Italy, and it’s aged exactly how you’d want it to — the leather has gone warm and the canvas still holds its shape.
Condition: Good (vintage). Macadam canvas is intact with no cracking or peeling and the dome shape holds well. Rubbing and lightening along the piping seams and canvas edges. A small light mark on the canvas near one handle base. Scuffs and a dark mark on the leather base. Interior tan leather has a few small ink marks and one tiny red mark. Handles are solid with light creasing. Zipper and hardware work smoothly. A well-loved vintage piece with plenty of life left.
